Salt Valentine
You are the Ocean.
When you curl your neck so elegantly like the tide
your hair falls in dark waves; crushing, lovely and insistent
(upon my heart; a realization.)
a natural force upon resistance.
I am a shoreline stone.
Worn and smoothed by the careless motion of the sea
She is as she is, and how she moves moulds me.
I remain by her, perhaps too proud.
Eventually I will be pebbled and then like sand.
Therein that dissolution of myself, I would resurge in blue reprise-
An old song that hushes, surreptitious.
A pure love note, wrote and kept-
Secrets too young still for regret
Inside my bedside drawer….
